  • 125 g Butter
  • 110 g white sugar
  • 110 g brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 260 g self-raising flour
  • 150 g chocolate, chips
  • 1 --- orange rind only

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add chocolate melts to bowl, mix on speed 8 for 5 seconds. Transfer to another bowl. Add orange rind to bowl and mix on speed 8 for 7 seconds. Add to chocolate bowl.

    Place butter, sugars and vanilla in TM bowl.  Cream together for 1 minute on speed 4.   With TM still running, add egg through hole in lid and continue mixing on speed 4 for 30 seconds. Add flour and salt, knead on speed 4 speed for 30 seconds. Add chocolate & orange and mix on speed 4 for 7 seconds. Drop teaspoonfuls of mixture on trays, leaving room for spreading.  Bake in moderate oven for 10 minutes.Leave on tray to cool for 2-3 minutes before moving to a wire rack to cool completely.

Tip

I took out the salt and added orange rind as well as using dark choc melts that I crush in TM first to make jaffa choc chip cookies! Delicious!!
