Cazza's Crumble Mixture

  • 200 g rolled oats
  • 100 g unsalted butter, diced in cubes
  • 30 g Gluten free plain flour
  • 90 g brown sugar
  • 1 level tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 level tsp Vanilla Paste

Recipe's preparation

    1. Prepare Your Crumble Filling
  1. Prepare your fruit filling into your pie dish via your preferred method.

    Then start the crumble mixture.
  2. 2. Preheat your oven to 175 degrees Celcius
  3. 3. Place all ingredients into your bowl Closed lid"Closed lid" starting with:

    - oats, gluten-free flour, brown sugar, diced butter, cinnamon and vanilla paste.
  4. 4. With the Measuring Cup in place select Dough Mode.

    Set time to 2 minutes and activate Dough Mode.

    Crumble should be in clumps - this is what you're looking for.
  5. 5. Spread the crumble mixture over your prepared fruit. Try to clump the mixture by hand as you place it onto the fruit. Bake in a hot oven for approx 25 mins or until topping is golden in colour.

Tip

This recipe quantity is suitable to cover a standard pie dish.

For a higher crumble mixture, use 1.5 times the recipe ingredients and follow the same method steps.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
