I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

  1. Mix icing sugar, cornflour and milo together 4sec/sp 3

Add eggs and milk and cook 7min 30sec/sp4/90deg.

Scrape into a jug/bowl and cover the surface with gladwrap to prevent a skin forming as it cools.

    Place in fridge

When cool, decant into serving containers if desired for lunchboxes etc.

Tip

I freeze this then put it into the girls' lunchboxes frozen in the morning, thawed but still cold by the time they eat it.

I use soy milk and home made milo when I make it for my DF daughter, but also have had just as good results when making with 'normal' milk and purchased milo.

Mine didn't set at all - it was runny tmrc_emoticons.( I am thinking on reflection that i put it straight into the fridge rather than let it cool on the bench first - would that make a difference?

Tasted great though and have frozen it now to make a kinda of milo sorbet lol

I found this a bit sweet but I think it would be great without any sugar added.

Delicious, although I used 30g Natvia (natural very low cal sweetener, made from stevia plant) instead of 75g icing sugar & lite milk & that was far sweet enough.

Yum! I made this as a change from the chocolate custard. Kids would love it! Would definitely take off some sugar though - bit too sweet for me.
