- 1. ***Clean the jars***:
Wash the jars and lids thoroughly with hot, soapy water. Rinse them well to remove any soap residue. - 2. ***Fill the Thermomix Bowl***:
Add about 1 liter of water to the Thermomix bowl. - 3. ***Steam the Jars***:
- Place the Varoma dish on top of the Thermomix.
- Arrange the clean jars and lids in the Varoma dish, making sure they're not touching each other for proper steam circulation.
- Set the Thermomix to Varoma temperature, Speed 2, for 20 minutes. - 4. ***Dry the Jars***:
Carefully remove the hot jars and lids from the Varoma dish using tongs. Place them on a clean kitchen towel to air dry. - 5. ***Use Immediately***:
Fill the sterilised jars with your preserves or other food while they're still hot to maintain sterility.

Recipe is created for
TM 6
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
