Ingredients
- 60 grams oats, Quick or rolled
- 120 grams hot water
- 100 grams banana, This is around the weight of one peeled medium size banana
- 100 grams Frozen Berries, We use raspberries, blueberries or blackberries
- 8 cubes ice
- 20 grams Honey or Maple Syrup, You may need to add/reduce a little to taste and depending on which berries you choose to use
- 160 grams Milk, We use cows milk, but have subbed almond milk previously with great results

1 Weigh out the oats and pour hot water over the top
2 Add the fruit, ice, honey or maple syrup and milk
3 Put the lid and MC in, mix on 7 for 1 minute
4 Check the consistency of your smoothie and add extra water or milk as required
5 Serve immediately and enjoy!
Tip
the oats will continue to cause the smoothie to thicken, so it is best enjoyed as soon as you have made it.

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

I just made this for my 3 growing boys (7,9,11). They all loved it. So simple.
My kids (5 and 2) love this and always finish the whole lot. It's basically cold blitzed porridge, but they think they are having the best treat instead of "real" breakfast!
