pour water into bowl and add sugar.
set temperature to varoma and timer for twelve minutes, speed one
increase speed to two after a few minutes when sugar has dissolved.
allow to cool slightly before pouring into a hot sterilized bottle. Syrup will thicken slightly once cold.

Tip
This syrup is great to have on hand to add sweetness to a drink when you don't want to use sugar granules that won't dissolve easily especially in an iced drink or cocktail. Vanilla can be added for a flavoured syrup, or use brown sugar for a caramel syrup. Quantity used is personal taste. Keeps for ages in fridge or tightly sealed in cupboard.
