Using ice cubes is quicker and easier than freezing milk in blocks, and there is the bonus of making the milk go further. Refer to my original posting of Old Fashioned Milk Shake to adapt different flavour ideas:

//www.recipecommunity.com.au/drinks-recipes/old-fashioned-milkshake/65515

For real fruit milkshakes, use frozen fruit in place of ice (strawberries, mixed berries, mango) and reduce the sugar quantity if desired.

Halve the ingredients for 2 serves.

    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

    Great smoothie method

    Iused this method to make a smoothie and it was so good! Used frozen banana and ice, then 400g milk plus a tablespoon of peanut butter, a dash of maple syrup and a handful of spinach. Whipped for 2 mins 30 seconds and it was nice and thick.

    So yum! I did mango half batch and did 1/4 of the sugar. Next time I'd put in some more mango though. I added a drop of vanilla paste. I whipped for 2 min and it was so fluffy and good! Thanks!

    Amazing! We halved the recipe, used frozen strawberries and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and it was great! I was surprised at how thick the milkshakes were. It was enough for 3 of us!

    Quick and easy! I was shocked how thick it came out. We used frozen strawberries and a few drops of vanilla bean paste tmrc_emoticons.)

    Love this one! We use your other recipe "old fashion milkshakes" which are delicious!!! But don't always have frozen milk blocks. So this is awesome, so quick and easy!! Thanks.
