Recipe's preparation

    Now we make it!!
  1. Add the handful of frozen watermelon (150-200g) to the thermomix for 4 seconds at speed 7. This will act as your "ice" for the drink. Set aside

Add normal frozen ice to the shaker and add half of the watermelon thats just been blended up, to a cocktail shaker with the 30g of watermelon vodka and 30g of the watermelon gin (or the pink gin alternative) with a good squeeze of a lime. Shake.

This can be done in the thermomix TM6 by adding ingredients mentioned above to bowl and mixing it on speed 1, reverse for 10 seconds. Longer if need be, the aim is to make the drink cold and blended together.

To serve - add the remaining frozen watermelon to a glass of your choice, strain the mixture that comes from the shaker or the TM bowl (depends which method you use) to the cup, then fill with a little bit of lemonade to your liking. This can be swapped for soda water instead if you prefer.

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
