Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

I made this last night to go with an Indonesian pork in coconut milk recipe. Absolutely delicious! Very spicy, but really fruity and cleansing.

So good and easy! Did not have allspice....just added 1tsp freshly grated nutmeg, 1 med brown onion, 1 fresh chilli and good chunk fresh ginger. Cheers for sharing
just wash. no need to peel figs.
Was given 1kg of fresh figs from my friends tree.
-Made one batch per the recipe.
-Made one batch + 1 large onion + heaped tsp of crushed ginger.
Both delicious. Each batch made 2x jars.
Great recipe. I added crushed chill and ginger
Do you have to peel them, or just wash the figs and put them straight in??
Delicious recipe Thank you for sharing. Like others I tweeked it to my personal taste. Very nice with crackers & cheeses. Will make a batch for platters that I give as gifts.
I used only 150gms of coconut sugar to 600gms of figs and added 2 teaspoons of fresh ginger. It made 2 small 250gm jars. Delicious!
Love this simple recipe...tastes great...I used a combination of different vinigars just to use them up out the cupboard and taste great. I doubled the batch and cooked for about 30mins longer.
This is great! I was given a bag full of overripe figs and had no idea what to do. I found this recipe and the rest is history. It's perfect with cheese and red wine
