Ingredients
pastry
- 360 grams Self Raising Flour
- 100 grams raw sugar
- 125 grams Butter
- 100 grams Milk
Filling
- 4 apples
- 200 grams Blackberries
- 20 grams cornflour
For the top
- 1 egg white
- 40 grams caster sugar - or blitz your own

Turn the oven on to 180C
To make the pastry
Mill sugar 10 seconds/speed 9, add flour and butter to the mixing bowl blend 3 seconds/ speed 3. add milk blend 3seconds/speed 3
put pastry on a floured board and roll 2/3 to cover the base and sides of a 20cm pie dish and roll the other 1/3 out for the lid.
To make the filling peel and dice the apples into a 1 cm dice, put in the mixing bowl and cook 100 C speed 1/reverse/5 minutes.
Toss the berries in the cornflour and put in the pie base with the apple. stick top to base with the eggwhite and brush the top with eggwhite and sprinkle with sugar. Put a hole in the top for steam and bake in the oven for 25 minutes
Tip
any berry in season or frozen would work well in this pie
