Ingredients

  • 90 g Butter, softened
  • 90 g brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 120 g almonds
  • 40 g plain flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 pears, thinly sliced
  • golden syrup, for brushing

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 160C. Ground almonds 10 secs, speed 7. Add butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, flour and baking powder. Process 10 secs, speed 4. Spoon mixture into greased 22cm tart tin. Press in sliced pears and bake for 35-40 minutes. Brush pears with golden syrup. Serve with cream or icecream.

    I left off the golden syrup and was still amazing. Love the pear / almond flavour combo. Will be making again.

    Made this with coconut sugar and gluten free flour. Took nearly an hour to cook but was delicious and fed 2 adults & 3 kids with no left overs! Great recipe!

    This was nice, i put pear inside the mixture as well as on top and then sprinkled sugar over the honey i glazed on the pears with.
