  • 35g grams golden syrup
  • 195 grams brown sugar
  • 95 grams dessicated coconut
  • 160 grams Self Raising Flour

Recipe's preparation

    Toffee Date Fingers
  1. Pre heat the oven to 180c and grease and line slice tin

  2. Chop up the dates speed 7 for 1 minute, put the dates in the in the lined slice tin.

  3. Melt the butter 60 seconds at 50c on speed 4

  4. Add the rest of the ingredients including the chopped dates

  5. Knead for 1 mintute at interval speedDough mode"Dough mode" till the ingredents are combined

     

  6. Press into slice tin (18 x 28cm approx)

     

  7. Bake moderate (180c) oven 20 minutes

     

  8. Cut into fingers as soon as it comes out of the oven or it will be to hard to cut

     

  9. Roll in icing sugar when cool

    I was about to make this but luckily I read through first. The method instructs you to "melt butter" but there is absolutely no mention of butter, or the necessary quantity, listed in the ingredients.
