Ingredients

Butterscotch Baileys

  • 40 g Butter
  • 125 g water
  • 180 g raw sugar
  • 110 g milk powder
  • 200 g Milk Chocolate Chips/Melts
  • 750 g evaporated milk, 2 x 375ml Cans
  • 300 g thickened cream
  • 700 g Butterscotch Schnapps

Recipe's preparation

    Condensed Milk
  1. Put the butter and water into the bowl and mix for 3 minutes, Varoma, Speed 2
  2. Add sugar and milk powder and blend for 30 seconds gradually turning up the speed to 10

    Leave the condensed milk in the bowl for the next step
  3. Baileys
  4. Add the chocolate to the bowl of condensed milk and mix for 5 minutes, 50 degrees, speed 3
  5. Set to 2 minutes, 50 degrees, speed 3
    While blades are moving add the evaporated milk and cream to the bowl (easier if you pour the cans into a jug first)
  6. Pour the mixture into a 3L jug or container
  7. Pour the schnapps into the empty bowl and choose turbo function for 4 seconds
  8. Pour the schnapps into the jug/container of mixture and give it a good stir

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.     I have been eyeing your recipe off for a while, & decided to make it for my friends birthday!!
    OMG 😮 I don’t know why I waited soo long to make it!! It is delicious 😋
    and there is enough left over for a bottle for me too!!
