Ingredients

Chilli Lime Fish Cakes

  • 400 g white fish fillet
  • 200 g salmon fillet, fresh, skin off
  • 1 lime, juice and zest
  • 1 long red chilli, seeds in or removed, or to taste
  • 1/2 bunch coriander, or to taste
  • 2 level teaspoons fish sauce
  • 2 level teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 level teaspoons honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 level teaspoons salt
  • to taste black pepper, freshly ground
  • 4 level tbsp flour, plain or gluten free
  • 2 level tbsp oil
  • 2 level tbsp flour, to dust fish cakes

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. 1. Add all ingredients except oil and 2 tbsp of flour to the bowl
    2. Mix on speed 9 for 20 seconds
    3. With wet hands, divide into 8 fish cakes
    4. Roll in flour to lightly dust
    5. Heat oil to medium heat in frying pan (I like peanut oil but use whatever oil works best for you)
    6. Cook until golden on each side and cooked through
    7. Serve with a wedge of lime or lemon
    8. Enjoy!
