Adults and kids alike seem to love these. I have found that they freeze well too (if there are any left).

I only added half the sugar and used up some sultana bran and they were really good

These were really yum! After reading the comments I only added 140g sugar and mixed cornflakes in with the choc chips (instead of sultanas) on reverse

I needed to use up some cornflakes and remembered the recipe my mother used to make way back in the 50's. These are almost identical and it was a real good trip down memory lane. Thank you for sharing. Smile I didn't have sultanas or nuts on hand today so substituted the amount with finely chopped dried apricots.

Wow these are awesome. I only used 100g brown sugar, and they were plenty sweet enough. I also used gluten free flour, and put a splash of almond milk in to keep the dough moistened as gf tends to dry out.

Fantastic recipe. I left out the nuts and added 100g choc chips. Mixed in the sultanas, choc chips and 100g cornflakes at step 5 on reverse so as not to break them up too much. Turned out beautifully. And yes, wet hands when rolling helps heaps. Just like the old school chocky rocks! I didn’t roll them in cornflakes at the end as I added extra at step 5. Just perfect

Yum! Reminded me of our old,
    lost recipe, thanks tmrc_emoticons.)
I used wholemal flour instead of plain which worked fine..

Childhood nostagia with the first bite! Yum! I too reduced sugar to 140g. Could probably drop to 100g without impacting taste. Thanks tmrc_emoticons.)

Lovely! A little vanilla essence would make it amazing...
