Recipe's preparation

    Cookie Dough
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees

    Place 350 grams of Dark Chocolate broken into pieces into TMX Bowl and mill on sp10 for 10 secs.

    Add 45 grams of Butter and vanilla bean paste.

    Melt and combine for 5 mins, 60 degrees on spd 2.  Set aside and allow to cool.

    In a clean bowl, place your dry ingredients and shift on spd 4 for 3 secs.

    Place dry ingredients and chocolate mixture into TMX bowl and combine on spd 4 for 1 min. Use the turbo function to remove excess dough from blades.

    Add chocolate bits and combine on speed 4 for 1 min.  Place into a clean bowl and refrigerate until firm.

    Using your ice cream scoop roll into balls and place onto a lined baking tray. The amount served will be dependent on the size of the balls rolled.  These will spread a little so allow for this on the tray.

    Place into preheated oven for 10 to 13 mins.

Tip

If you have a second bowl use it to mix your dry ingredients and then pour into reserved bowl holding chocolate mixture.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

    This recipe did not work for me, I was quite disappointed to waste the ingredients.

    This recipe is missing several key ingredients.  The original as posted on Masterchef included 1 teaspoon vanilla essence and 3 eggs.  Without the eggs this recipe does not work.  The method mentions adding vanilla bean paste but the ingredient list doesn't include it so no one has any idea how much to add.
