Ingredients

Self Saucing Pudding

  • 190 g Self Raising Flour
  • 180 g brown sugar
  • 125 g Milk
  • 100 g Butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 125 g Milk
  • 100 g golden syrup
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • 375 g Boiling water
  • Double cream or ice cream, to serve

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
    Grease a 1.5 litre (6 cup) ovenproof dish.
    Melt butter in TM bowl at 70°C on speed 1 for 1 minute.
    Combine 1/4 cup of the brown sugar and all of the flour in TM bowl. Add egg, milk and 2 tablespoons of the golden syrup and mix on speed 4 for 10 seconds. Spoon into greased dish.
  2. Combine the remaining 1/2 cup of brown sugar and cornflour in a cup. Sprinkle over the pudding mixture.
  3. Combine boiling water with the remaining 2 tablespoons of golden syrup. Pour over the top of the pudding mixture and bake for 40-45 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Serve with double cream or ice cream.
