I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

    Chewy Choc-Chunk Slice
  1. Grease a slice tin and line with baking paper - leave 2cm's up the sides (tin approx 19cm x 30cm)

    Preheat ovan to 180degrees (moderate)

    * Break up chocolate grate 6-8 secs, speed 5

    * Add butter (cut in cubes) into Thermomix - Melt Choc & butter 3mins, 50deg, speed 3 (you may want to scrap down sides at 2 mins or extend melt time by a minute if needed)

    * Add all other ingredients, mix together 10sec, speed 4

    * Pour into lined tin, Push rolos into mixture.

    * Bake 25min or until lightly browned (do not over cook.

    * Cool slice in pan before removing

    * Slice aiming to give each person a rolo in middle of their slice tmrc_emoticons.-)

    * Store in Airtight container (can be made 4 day's ahead)

Tip

Rolo's now only sold in the international section of supermarkets - I've also used Fantales and Cadbury Caramelo Rolls, what makes the Rolo's special is it's a chewier caramel than others, but not as hard as Fantales, use your imagination... tmrc_emoticons.-)

As it cools the slice may sink.... dunno why it just does, and i've made this over 100 times.... it's still awesome! tmrc_emoticons.-)

More photo's to come - it's just cooling

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
