I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

    Steaming Sausages
  1. * Add water to bowl, place sausages on veroma (either tray is fine, when I make 6 I just use first bowl without tray) 22 mins 120degrees speed 3Closed lid"Closed lid"

    * when finished remove water from bowl, peel sausages and slice to your liking (don't panic if not completely cooked they'll finish cooking in sauce)

    * peel apple cut in half add to bowl with onion, SPEED 5, 2-3 Secs depending how chunky you want it, scrap down sidesClosed lid"Closed lid"

    * add butter and curry powder, 5 mins, 100deg speed 1,Closed lid"Closed lid" scrap down sides

    * add water to bowl, stir with spatular (then Pour a small amount into a small bowl, add cornflour, stir until no lumps, then add back to TM, I do this to avoid lumps, see old school!) add sliced sausages Reverse Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" speed 1, 12 minutes 100deg Closed lid"Closed lid"

Tip

This recipe can be doubled to make more, just double ingredients, and play with water level for sauce. (I use about 500g with 12 sausages) maybe 1200 water for steaming sausages

Pic doesn't do the taste justice.... (no professional Photographer here)

I serve mine with rice and vegies

This is adapted from my mums school common sense cookery book, (curried Lamb chops)

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

This is delicious, I use precooked sausages so just added them at the last stage and it's turned out perfect.

I added just a touch of tomato sauce to the kids servings and stirred it through and the fussy eaters LOVED it. My husband said to me feel free to make this for him ANY time.. winner in our house.
made it a little runny so am making again tonight, a week later with a little less water so yummmmy thanks for the recipe
