Ingredients

Choc orange (or not) cake with ganache

  • 50 g Cacaco powder
  • 90 g Coconut Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Bi Carb Soda
  • 340 g honey
  • 225 g Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla Paste
  • 10 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest, (if using)

Ganache

  • 80 g cacao powder
  • 160 g coconut oil
  • 170 g Honey.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Orange Zest (if using)

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Add coconut flour,cacao and bi carb soda to bowl and combine 10 sec, speed 5

    2. Without washing the bowl, add butter and melt 3 mins, 60 degrees, speed 2.

    3. Add eggs, honey,vanilla,and orange zest (if using)

    4. Blend 10 sec, speed 4

    5. Add reserved dry ingredients to bowl and blend 15 sec, speed 5

    6. Pour into prepared 25cm round tin (lined and greased with baking paper)

    7. Bake at 160 degrees for 50 mins- 1hr

     

    8. Wash bowl before continuing on to make ganache.

     

    GANACHE

    1. Add coconut to the bowl and melt for 3 mins, 37 degrees,speed 2

    2. Add all other ganache ingredients 

    3. Blend for 30 sec, slowly working your way up to speed 8.

    4. Once cake is cooled completely spread on ganache and enjoy!

     

     

     

Tip

If you prefer you can leave the orange zest out and it will be a nice chocolate cake 

To make this cake paleo you can use coconut oil in place of the butter.
