I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

  1. Pop it all into the thermomix  and stir on speed 6 for 1 minute.
Pour into a pre-prepared tin and bake in the over at 160oC (fan forced oven) or 180oC  for normal oven for 1 hour (or accordingly to the size/shape cake tin you use).

    CHOCOLATE GNACHE

    1. Add all ingredients to TM bowl.  Heat 3 minutes/37°C/Speed 2.
    2. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with the spatula and heat again 3 minutes/37°C/Speed 2 until chocolate is melted. Pour over cake and use a knife to smooth the icing over the edges. It will harden when cold.

Tip

Fill with whipped cream if desired.

I have posted this recipe from the website //www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1097.0 by "I Love Bimby".  She says:This is a conversion of my favorite chocolate cake. It's lighter than the "Too Easy Chocolate Cake" in Everyday Cookbook, and makes about double the quantity. And just as easy:

As a thermomix consultant in Hobart I am extremely impressed with this cake.  As a birthday cake, for morning tea or a family treat it is sooo easy and quick to prepare with great texture and taste.

I made this for my husbands 40th birthday cake. I did a trial run with a butter cake and it turned out dense and horrible, I then used this recipe for the real thing and thankfully turned out perfect! I made a large square cake (to cut into a 4) then halfed the recipe for a normal round cake (for the 0). Great recipe am going to use as my birthday cake base from now on. Daugters 3rd birthday next week I'll be making the square cake and turning into a frozen wonderland(hopefully!) I made the ganache to stick the decorations on, all tasted amazing too tmrc_emoticons.-)

    Thank you

This cake is delicious. I made a birthday cake to send to daycare and 1 batch made enought to feed 24 hungry children. I was soo impressed that I made another one to share with the family.

This was too easy. I didn't have cocoa powder so used real chocolate instead... Tasted yum, just a bit more richer. Thanks!

I made this today for the school carnival. It was still warm when I put it down on the stall table - and someone snapped it up quick smart. A shame - as I was going to buy it myself!  I'll make another tomorrow. tmrc_emoticons.-)
