I used 8 medjool dates as they are bigger than normal dates and it was perfect. I will be making these again!

Are the dates medjool dates or just the normal dried ones?

These are absolutely delicious. I thought about rolling them in coconut to finish but didn't end up doing so and am happy I didn't. They are great just the way they are. So good! I'll be making this recipe again and again! Thank you tmrc_emoticons.)

Awesome recipe. I didn't have almonds, so substituted peanuts. I did have to add a little more water, maybe peanuts not as moist as almonds? Omitted the cinamon, didn't think it would go well with peanuts. Rolled in coconut, as suggested .. Nice sweet treat, without being too sweet.

I got 26 pieces out of the batch and they were delicious. I just love dates and I coated with shredded coconut.

I used to make these before I had a Thermie - it's SO much quicker and easier with it! And the texture is better. I don't always use protein powder,  and vary the nuts and dried fruit depending on what I have or feel like. Today's variation has crystallized ginger and goji berries.  Yum!
