I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
- Ingredients
230g water
115g butter
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
150g plain flour
3 eggs
350 vegetable or canola oil for frying
100g sugar
Instructions
💜Combine water, butter, salt, and ¼ teaspoon cinnamon in mixing bowl.
Mix 3mins/100 degrees /speed 3.
💜Add flour and mix on speed 3 just until dough forms a ball. Stop and let the mixture rest for 5-7 min.
💜Resume mixing on speed 3 and add eggs, one at a time through the hole until combined. Set aside.
💜Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium-high heat or until temperature reaches 180 degrees Celsius.
💜Spoon dough into piping bag fitted with large star tip. Pipe 1-inch strip of dough over saucepan, cut with knife or scissors, and drop into hot oil. Repeat until churro bites fill saucepan with room to fry. (I use a small saucepan so the oil is deeper and can fit 6 little churros or 2-3 large ones at a time)
💜Fry churro bites until golden brown. Remove with slotted spoon or mesh spider strainer.
💜Drain churro bites on paper towel.
💜Mix sugar and ½ teaspoon cinnamon in medium bowl. Toss in churro bites until coated. Place on serving plate and serve with favorite dipping sauce.

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

This did not work for me. It was really runny and I add 1 cup of flour and still runny.
