    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Hi there!  I found this the same for my first batch as well - I got a tip from my mum - she said make sure when you put them in the oven that your oven is very hot - perhaps try and preheat your oven for at least 15mins on 220 or 200 fan forced - I found this worked better second time around.  I also kneaded for 30 seconds instead of 20 seconds - again, worked better for me second time around.  I also didn't flatten out the dough too much - tried to have it about an inch thick and cut them smaller with an egg cup instead of a glass - which again worked out better.  Hope this helps you! tmrc_emoticons.)

I received my TM5 on the Monday and made these the following Saturday - extremely quick and easy - I just kneaded for 30 seconds instead of 20 seconds, but it was not a big deal - just to get the dough a little less sticky/wet.  Beautiful scones - enjoyed by adults and kids, will definitely make these again - thank you!

First batch a disaster - too runny and flat.  Think will go back to orginal recipe!
