Ingredients

Eggless Date Cake

  • 160 grams Dates (pitted), dried dates
  • 250 grams Butter, Can be substituted for Coconut Oil
  • 430 grams water
  • 220 grams raw sugar
  • 35 grams cocoa
  • 250 grams plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

Recipe's preparation

    Eggless Date Cake
  1. Place Dates in TM31 and chop on Speed 7 for 7 seconds, if using fresh

    dates chop for less time.

    2. Add Butter, Water, Sugar and Cocoa and cook 100 degrees / 8 minutes /

    speed 1

    3. Let Cool, pour into Thermomserver and leave lid off if you need to use

    Bowl.

    4. Once Cool place back into TM31 and add Flour and Bicarbonate Soda, mix

    in on Speed 3 / 10 Secconds, stir for longer if required.

    5. Place into a 20 x 20 cm square dish / tin and bake in moderate

    oven for 40 - 50 minutes

    6.Stand for 5 minutes before turning onto wire rack to cool. Can be

    served with Cream, Toffee Sauce or Ganache. My kids prefer it plain

Tip

Butter can be Substituted for Coconut OIl 

Can sustitute Sugar for Rapadura or lessen the amount if preferred

    Hi Catherine...must tell you that I made this....we have many morning and afternoon teas where I work....this was such a hit...it was totally consumed at a farewell afternoon tea....and the local patiserrie cake that cost the earth was left...how good did I feel...thanks...cheers.

    Big Smile This cake is great! My daughter has egg and dairy allergies so it is perfect for her! It is perfect texture, everyone in the whole family loves it. I used Nuttlex in place of butter and still turned out great! Next time I will use a little less sugar though tmrc_emoticons.)
