I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
1. Preheat oven to 175 C
2. Put hazelnut meal, arrow root starch, cinnamon and salt into mixing bowl. "Closed lid" Turbo pulse 5 times to ensure no clumps remain.
3. Add egg, coconut oil and vanilla, 1 minute "Closed lid" "Dough mode" . All ingredients should now be well incorporated into a dough.
4. Press dough into pie plate evenly, starting from bottom and continuing all the way up sides.
Note: If filling the crust with ingredients that do not require a second bake (such as banana cream), fee free to lap the crust over the edge of the pie pan and crimp edges decoratively.
If the pie will be filled with an ingredient that requires further cooking (such as pumpkin), it is best not to lap the crust up over onto the rim of the pie pan since the lapped edges will dry out and over brown during second bake.
5. Blind back using parchment paper filled with dried beans or raw rice. Place in oven for 7 minutes. Remove pie weights and parchment paper and bake for further 5 minutes.

Tip
Baking times can vary with oven type and/or model and it is important not to over bake this crust if it is to be baked a second time with a filling. I suggest checking the crust at the 3 minute mark after having returned the crust to the oven without the parchment.
If using rice for pie weights, unlike beans, the rice is still edible and in this recipe some coconut and hazelnut oil will migrate through the parchment to infuse the rice, which when cooked imparts a subtle delicious buttery/nutty taste.
