  • 250 grams flour
  • 230 grams Cold Butter, cut into small pieces
  • 250 grams Quark, (drained well)

Filling

  • apricot jam

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 level tablespoon Milk
  • icing sugar

Recipe's preparation

    Dough
  1. Mix flour, salt, butter and quark for 10 sec. / speed 6 and knead for 1min / Dough mode"Dough mode"

    set aside in fridge for 1 hour or over night

  2. Preheat oven to 200°C

  3. Roll out dough to about 3-4mm thick and cut into squares (10cmX10cm)

  4. Put 1 teaspoon of apricot jam in the middle, fold into a triangle and roll to form the shape of a croissant.

  5. Mix egg yolk and milk and quickly brush the "Kipferl"

  6. Bake for 15-20min until golden brown and dust with icing sugar while still warm.

    You can make your own quark by simply making joghurt in your Thermomix and draining it over night in a teatowel/strainer. Good luck! tmrc_emoticons.)

    Where can we buy Quark from?  I haven't been successful in my searches for quark, is it a product we can make ourselves in the Thermomix?
