Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 220 degrees (200 fan forced). Grease and flour large cake tin/baking tray.

Place all ingredients into TM bowl and mix for 10 seconds on speed 5.

Set dial to closed lid position and mix for 20 seconds on interval speed.

Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and lightly roll or press the dough out to about 2.5cm (1inch) high.

Cut with floured scone cutter and place on baking tray.  Place scones close together.  (if you like, brush the top of scones with a little milk)

Bake 15 minutes in middle shelf of oven.

Serve with your favourite jam and cream.  My favourites are EDC marmalade and lemon butter.

Absolute disaster! Sloppy, sticky mess. I added more flour and scooped some onto the baking tray- didn't rise. Something isn't right with the recipe.

I have made this recipe twice now and carefully weighed the ingredients each time. Both times I have ended with a sloppy mix. Totally unable to knead or roll. The consistency is more like a cake mix. Are your weights equal to your cup measurements?? Im wondering if your cup measurement is less than the weight in grammes. I measured weights exactly. Twice. Working out quite expensive to throw away tmrc_emoticons.-( so unfortunatly cannot try again tmrc_emoticons.-(

Thanks for sharing this recipe! They turned out very yummy! There was no way my mix was going to roll out or be cut (it was way to sticky) so I just dropped spoonfuls onto the baking tray but they still worked out beautifully! tmrc_emoticons.)
