Ingredients

  • 3 Ripe Pears peeled or 6 pear halves in syrup
  • 75 grams raw cashews
  • 80 grams self raising flour or gluten free self raising flour
  • 100 grams Soft brown sugar
  • 25 grams nuttelex or butter
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
  • 1 egg

Recipe's preparation

    Pear & Cashew Slice
  1. Put Cashews into the TM and turbo 2-3 times then set aside. Put into TM Nuttelex & golden syrup melt for 2 minutes at 60 degress on speed 1. Add pear, flour,brown sugar & egg to TM. Mix 15 seconds at speed 5. Add cashews,mix for 10 seconds, reverseCounter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" speed 2-3. Pour mixture into a lightly greased 20cm square tin and bake at 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until golden and cooked through. Leave to cool in the tin before slicing.

    This was beautiful thank you!!  Simple, tasty and easy!!

    This slice had a great taste, but I used three large overripe pears & and as a result the slice was a bit soggy. Will definitely make again but will either add more flour or use lesser amount of pear. I iced with lemon icing and it was very popular in the office

    Well, my first go at this was a bit of a let-down and I am trying to figure out how that happened.  Taste was fine but it just didn't rise or even cook fully.  I guess I should have let the oven heat up for a much longer time before starting to cook the mixture.


    Will try it again, as I like the ingredients.
