Recipe's preparation

Sea Salt Caramel Choc Chip Cookies
  1. Place butter, sugars and vanilla in TM bowl.
Cream together for 1 minute on speed 3-4.
With TM still running, add egg through hole in lid and continue mixing on speed 3-4 for 30 seconds.
Add flour and salt, knead on interval speed for 30 seconds.
Add dark and Caramilk chocolate chips, stir through with spatula. Drop 24-28 heaped teaspoonfuls of mixture on to baking paper lined trays, leaving room for spreading.
    Flatten each biscuit slightly.
Lightly press a mini pretzel into top of each biscuit.
Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt flakes.
Bake in moderate (180C) oven for 12 minutes.
    Makes 24-28

Tip

These cookies are delicious with a soft and chewy center and crisp outside. The dark chocolate, with the Caramilk, sea salt and pretzels is a deliciously moreish combination.

    TM 6
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
