Ingredients
Base
- 200 g raw sugar
- 1 orange, peel (no pith)
- 120 g Butter, softened
- 280 g Self Raising Flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
Fruit Topping
- 200 g Mixed fruit
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- 250 g Milk
- 1 egg
Orange Icing
- 250 g raw sugar
- 20 g Butter, softened
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- Coconut, to sprinkle

Preheat oven to 180° C. Grease and line a 27 cm × 17 cm slice tin and set aside.
Place sugar and peel into mixing bowl and mill 10 sec/speed 9.
Add butter, flour and baking powder and mix 15 sec/speed 4. Scrape down sides.
Work half of the resulting crumbly mix (about 1.5 cups) into the lined tray and gently flatten to form base.
Add the mixed fruit, orange juice, milk, and egg to the leftover crumbly mix in the mixing bowl. Mix 10 sec/speed 4.
Pour fruit topping mixture evenly over prepared base and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until slice is lightly golden and an inserted skewer comes out clean. Cool in tin.
Place sugar in mixing bowl and mill 10 sec/speed 9. Scrape down sides.
Add butter and mix 30 sec/speed 4. Scrape down sides.
Add juice and mix for 15 sec/speed 4.
Spread icing over cooled slice and sprinkle with coconut.
Cut into squares and serve.

Substitute the orange juice for coffee to acheive an alternative taste for the grown ups' afternoon tea.
