Ingredients
Ashtar (Custard like filling)
- 1 litres full cream milk
- 300 g thickened cream
- 176 g semolina
- 1 1/2 level tablespoons Rose Water
- 1 1/2 level tablespoons Orange Blossom Water
- 201 g white sugar
- 2 level tsp cornflour
Tarts
- 4 packages Pre- made tart base/shells, Supermarket
Base in tray (optional)
- 113 g Cornflakes, Crushed
- 20 g Butter
Biscoff topping
- 2 heaped tablespoons Biscoff spread
- 1 packages Biscoff biscuits, They come in 8 packs.

- Pre made tarts need to be Blind baked. See steps below on how to do this (note most packaged premade tarts will have instructions on the packaging onnhiwvto blind bake as well, follow the packaging if they have it):
Step 1 - remove tarts from packaging.
Step 2 - place tarts on a baking tray.
Step 3 - turn oven on (fan forced) 160 degrees.
Step 4 - place tray with tarts in oven for 10 mins or until edges start to brown.
Step 5 - once edges are lightly browned take out of oven to cool. - Step 1 - In a microwave safe bowl, melt butter.
Step 2 - place butter on baking tray
Step 3 - add some of the crushed cornflakes on top to cover base with thin layer. - Step 1 - add all ingredients into thermobowl
Step 2 - select thickened mode on thermomix
Step 3 - turn dial.
Step 4 - once thickened mode completed. Fill tarts with Ashtaa. If you are going for the tray option, fill the tray with the Ashtaa Custard Filling on top of breadcrumbs layer ( see step 3 in base prep) - Step 1 - place tablespoons of biscoff spread in a microwave safe bowl, melt in microwave.
Step 2 - use melted biscoff press to decorate tarts / tray as you like.
Step 4 - decorate/ Sprinkle with biscuits on top as you like.
Step 5 - Place in fridge for at least 1 hour before serving.

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
