Recipe's preparation

  1. Place pears into bowl and chop for 10 seconds, speed 7. Scrape down sides of bowl.

Add all other ingredients and combine for 5 seconds, speed 4.

Insert butterfly (optional, but i think it creates a fluffier batter) and blend for 20 seconds, speed 4. Scrape down sides of bowl and repeat.

Pour small amounts of batter into a hot frying pan, flip over when bubbles appear.  Cook pancakes in batches.  Serve with freshly whipped cream and berries for a great Sunday breakfast treat!

Tip

The addition of pears in this recipe is a real health bonus - it adds fibre, and a natural source of sweetness!

👍👍🍐🍐another winner. Great way to use up oldish pears. I didn’t peel mine, and they’re fine as thermi chops it up well.

Our family all loves these. I always make them when we have old pears. We like thin pancakes so I usually use plain flour instead of SR. Lovely recipe.

Great substitute for regular pancakes. I used tinned pears, and there wasn't much - if any - pear flavour to them. Maybe next time I'll add more pears and a little cinnamon.

Love them. These were beautiful. I didn't have any pears, so I substituted apples instead. I also added some cinnamon. Was a hot with the fam bam. Big Smile

Texture was light and fluffy but flavour was bland. Would use more pear next time.

Thanks for posting this terrific fool-proof pancake recipe - this is now my go-to recipe for pancakes and pikelets. We love them plain as well as with toppings. Plenty of sweetness without the sugar.
