Recipe's preparation

boil kettle water and let cool (until 37 degrees Celsius)
  1. Describe the preparation steps of your recipe

  2. Remove 2 level teaspoons of dried yeast from fridge or freezer, allow to. Get to room temperature

  3. place water into mixing bowl and heat on 1-2 min/37 degrees Celsius/speed 1

  4. place yeast into mixing bowl and heat 2 min/ 37 degrees Celsius/speed 1

  5. add all remaining ingredients in this order Olive oil, water and salt and mix 6-10 sec/speed 6 and then knead 6-8 min/Closed lid"Closed lid" /Dough mode"Dough mode"

  6. transfer dough onto thermomat or lightly oiled thermoserver or place in a lightly oiled bowl covered with a tea towel.

allow to proof in a warm, draft free area.

(I find it helps to preheat the over to 100 degrees Celsius for 5 mins and then turn the oven off and place the dough wrapped lightly in the thermomat on an oven tray to proof for 30 mins or until doubled in size.)

  7. Knock down the dough with a gentle hand knead, pushes out the gas a little and relaxes the dough. Cover the dough and rest again for 10 mins before shaping

  8. cut into 8 equal sized rolls using the thermomix spatula, shape into desired shape. Place into a cold oven with a pan of boiling water at the bottom of the oven and close the door until nearly doubled in size

  9. then turn the oven onto 200 degrees Celsius and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown

  10. cool on wire rack and enjoy

There was a step that said to add water again and missing the add flour step but just worked around it.
They were lovely, soft & fluffy, great for homemade soup !

Where do you add the bakers flour?

  • 23. August 2016 - 09:25

Made these while sleep deprived and didn't notice that the recipe was written incorrectly until it was too late and I had added too much water.  Added more flour but not sure how these will turn out.   tmrc_emoticons.~

Made these rolls today. Nice and soft and easy. Went great with soup on a cold day.

Making these now. Step 5 however has add water even though water has already been done. I think its meant to be bakers flour?

easy and yummy! We whipped these up to have with tea but have already eaten most of them! BeiNg a warm day I didn't worry about proofing in the oven (step tmrc_emoticons.8) but left them on the bench instead.
