Ingredients

Jaffa balls

  • 100 grams dark chocolate bits
  • 2 large oranges, rind only
  • 170 grams dates, seeded
  • 170 grams almonds
  • 2 heaped tablespoons cocoa, Dutch processed, if available
  • orange juice, Up to 1/2 an orange. See *
  • 3 heaped tablespoons Grated chocolate, optional, for rolling

Recipe's preparation

    Preparation
  1. 1. Grind chocolate, orange rind, almonds and dates inClosed lid"Closed lid" , Speed 9, 30 secs, scrape and repeat until at preferred consistency.

    2. Add cocoa powder, and enough juice to form mixture into balls. *You may need less than 1/2 an orange. It depends on the size of the orange.

    3. Blitz speed 7, 30 secs, or until combined

    4. Form into teaspoon size balls

    5. Roll in extra grated chocolate if desired.

    6. Keep in the fridge.

Tip

Substitute sultanas, add protein powder, use different nuts e.g cashews, pecans.

Very adaptable.

    These are great. Thanks for sharing this. I used half peanuts/half cashews and rolled them in desiccated coconut.
