I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Break the fruit cake up into pieces and place into bowl. Mix it on speed 6 for about 20 seconds or until it has all come apart but isn't squishy. Set aside in a bowl.
Place milk chocolate into bowl and melt at 50 degrees for 2 minutes at speed 1. If chocolate hasn't melted add more time.
Add cake mix into bowl with chocolate and add the brandy and jam. Mix on speed 4 for 15 seconds or until all combined. Place mixture into a bowl and place in fridge for about 1-2 hours.
Remove from fridge and measure out a teaspoon each time and roll them into smooth balls. Place them onto baking paper on a tray.
Place white chocolate in thermomix bowl and melt at 50 degrees for 2 minutes, speed 1. At extra time if not melted. Whilst this is melting chop up your cherries, green ones into small thin slics. Red into tiny little bits resembling balls.
Using a teaspoon dollop the white chocolate on top of the puddings letting it drizzle down the sides to resemble custard. Place a green slice of cherry on top and two red cherries balls on either side to resemble holly.
Put them back in fridge to set.

I just made these and the mixture is far too sticky to set. I also used Coles Fruitcake. Have made them in the past with this recipe no problem. But I think I might have used Lions Fruitcake or Woolworths.
Does anyone have any idea if the mixture can be saved and used?
Unfortunately these turned into sticky sludge balls for me, despite using less than the recommended brandy. Three hours work for a disappointing result.
This mix was way too sloppy to ball up. I used 800g of cake and was still too moist... I'm a new tm owner so not sure if it's something I done wrong. Maybe it over mixed, but I followed everything exactly. I might also try it without jam... Thank you, a good start for me to alter
Followed recipe to a tee. But the cake/choc mix was very sticky. Even after refrigeration. I used a Coles moist fruit cake. Might try a different fruit cake next time.
Still tasted ok, just sticky to get off the serving plate.
These were great for christmas last year ! I baked them and put them in a gift plate with some other baked goods... and they were pretty good while preparing other foods too

Hi! I made this today and even after 4 hours in the fridge the mixture is very very sticky- is this normal? If not, do you know how I can fix it? Thank you!!!

Great recipe I've been chasing for years. I used Tenina's strawberry jam and left out the rum for kids and a preggars family member. They were no where near as rich as I thought they'd be so you could easily slide a few down in a sitting
