    Almond Milk
  1. Place almonds, filtered water & pinch of salt in bowl and soak overnight. (make sure you add enough water so almonds are covered)

Drain and rinse the soaked almonds well, place almonds in the TM with 1000g of filtered water and blend on speed 9 for 90 seconds.

Strain mixture thorugh a nut milk bag squeezing it so that you get all the milk.

Store milk in a glass milk bottle in your fridge and use within 5 days.

Tip

You can make the milk richer by soaking more almonds to the same amount of water.

    YUMMM!!! Delicious.

I added a bit more than a 'pinch' of cinnamon, and it's delicious. I didn't soak the almonds this time as I wanted to make it straight away, but I have weighed some out to soak before the next batch tmrc_emoticons.)

    Thank you! tmrc_emoticons.)

Soaking the almonds is said to 'activate' them... rather than being anything to do with the ability to make milk from them tmrc_emoticons.)

I hope that helps make sense of the 'why' it says to soak them Smile

I have a vitamix and you don't have to soak almonds. With vitamix you get extra smooth drinks. Does thermomix do the same job consistency wise? Would you get same result without soaking? I'm thinking maybe of keeping my vitamix to compare this. Just listed to sell as Thermomix coming
