Ingredients
Drink
- 750 g Milk
- 2 --- chillies, deseeded
- 1 litre water, for cooking pumpkin
- 200 g butternut pumpkin, peeled
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, to taste
- 200 g dark chocolate, broken into pieces
- 110 g cream
- ice cubes, for serving (optional)

Put milk into mixing bowl.
Add chillies into simmering basket.
Heat milk 5 min/85C/sp 4.
Pour into a separate container with chilli and set aside to infuse.
Clean mixing bowl.
Add water into mixing bowl to about halfway
Add pumpkin to simmering basket and place basket into the mixing bowl
Cook pumpkin 10 min/100C/sp 1.
Drain pumpkin, empty water out of mixing bowl and return pumpkin to bowl.
Add cayenne pepper.
Mash pumpkin and pepper 1 min/sp 9.
Set aside and allow to cool.
Clean and dry mixing bowl.
Add chocolate and grate into a fine powder 2 min/sp 9. (Repeat if not all grated.)
Melt the chocolate 2 min/50C/sp 2. (Repeat until chocolate is a glossy liquid.)
Continue stirring the chocolate 4 min/50C/sp 2 while adding the reserved milk (with no chilli) through the lid.
Set aside ½ cup of chocolate milk
Add the mashed pumpkin to the mixing bowl and combine with rest of chocolate 2 min/sp 6.
Freeze chocolate pumpkin mixture in ice cube trays overnight
Meanwhile combine chocolate milk with cream 1 min/sp 4
Add chillies to the creamy chocolate milk mixture
Put in the fridge until needed - use it as the liquid to make the slushie
When constructing remove chillies
Combine frozen chocolate pumpkin cubes with chocolate milk 2 min/sp 9.
If necessary add a little water to make it 1 litre of ice chocolate drink or if it is too thick.
Return to freezer/fridge until ready to serve
Add some ice cubes to glass (optional) and serve

Tip
When cooking the pumpkin in the basket I steam the rest of the pumpkin for use in other dishes.

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31).
