Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Great recipe. I added tin tomatoes. Then, I had leftover corn, red beans and rice. Added them in too. Yummy. 😀
As suggested by others, I added 1 tbsp of stock paste (I used Veg) and added a tin of tomatoes when adding the mince. Drained the excess liquid at the end.
Easy and delicious!
Thank you.
Made this today and it tasted delicious. Ended up adding creamed corn and salsa. We prefer a more chunky mince so next time I will put it on speed one to help keep the consistency.
Thanks for an easy tasty recipe.
I did put mine on reverse as I’m not a fan of mince cooked in the Thermomix and it was still too fine a texture for my liking.
I like the idea of adding the tinned tomatoes as although the meat was tasty (I made up and used the Skinnymixers’ Mexican Spice Mix), I thought it was a little dry.
I missed having a sauce (like the one you have in the boxed kits) to add to all the condiments so might Google a Thermomix Taco Sauce next time too! 😅
Did it two weeks ago. This was awesome I also added veg paste and a can of tomato and did it on reverse and it was a big hit. Thanks for sharing. Doing it again tonight.
I added a tablespoon of vege stock (didn't have any beef stock) and a tin of diced tomatoes. It was delicious thank you!
Thanks so much for your feedback
I actually left out beef stock that I originally used myself in the test recipe, I'll have to see if I can add it in, this was my first recipe on here so appreciate the feedback, your added tomato sounds amazing
thanks again
was nice but next time will add more spices, some diced tomato and will cook the mince on reverse so it is chunkier
