Ingredients
Steaks and marinade
- 4 pieces "minute/sizzle" steaks
- 1 cup buttermilk, or regular milk
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Worstershire sauce
Spice mix
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1/2 cup cornflour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Gravy
- 1 onion, peeled and cut into 1/4s
- clove of garlic, peeled
- 20 grams olive oil
- 3 tablespoons plain flour
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1.5 cups beef stock
- pinch cayenne pepper
- Parsley for garnish
- S & P to taste

1. In a large bowl, whisk together all the marinade ingredients
2. Place steak into marinade and put in the fridge for 1-2 hours.
1. In a large zip lock bag, combine all spice ingredients except for the oil.
2. Gently shake excess marinade from steaks and dip into the spice mix, then back into the marinade and again into the spice mix. Repeat for each piece of steak and put in the fridge for 15 minutes.
1. Heat a large frying pan and add a good splash of oil to heat.
2. Fry steaks until brown on both sides and place into a warm oven to keep warm while preparing the gravy.
1. Place onion and garlic into "Closed lid" .
2. Chop sp 5 / 5 secs
3. Scrape bowl and add oil.
4. Set temp to Varoma / 2 mins / sp 2 to saute.
5. Add remaining ingredients to "Closed lid" .
6. Cook at 90C / 7 mins / sp3.
1. Serve steaks with sauce spooned over the top.
Prepare marinade.
Prepare spice mix
Fry the steak.
Gravy

Make onion gravy. Put over meat in oven. Then put potatoe bake over the top. (No bacon pieces) Adjust ingredients.
Great gravy recipe. Steak was even better the next day.
My family loved this to the point that they were fighting the next day over the leftovers not just for dinner on night 2 but they we trying to reserve some for the next night as well. (I made a triple batch as we are a large family and leftovers never go astray). Good basic everyday family meal
