Ingredients

Dip

  • 1 small lebanese cucumber, (unpeeled)
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, (peeled)
  • 3 sprig fresh continental parsley
  • 3 sprigs fresh oregano
  • 3 sprigs fresh mint
  • 3 sprigs fresh dill leaves (or 1 tsp dried dill)
  • 200g Greek Creamy Yoghurt
  • Salt and cracked pepper, to taste

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Place lebanese cucumber in TM bowl and chop 5 sec/speed 6.

    2. Strain the chopped cucumber using the basket. 

    3. Pressing out all the juice. Discard the juice.

    4. Set aside the chopped cucumber. (no need to rinse TM bowl).

    5. Place peeled garlic cloves into bowl, chop for 3sec/speed 7.

    6.  Add sprigs of fresh parsley, fresh Oregano, fresh mint and fresh dill and chop 5 sec/speed 6.

    7. Scrap down sides.

    8. Add 200g Greek Creamy Yoghurt and chopped drained                     cucumber.

    9. Add salt and cracked pepper to taste.

     

    10. Blend for 5 sec/speed 5

    Place into a serving bowl

    Serve as a dip with crusty bread, carrots, celery or savoury biscuits.

Tip

Tzatziki Dip may be used as a sauce topping on cooked chicken fillets, baked fish, lamb kebabs, BBQ steak and chops or on salads.

    This is good but VERY garlicky with that much garlic and I love garlic. I'd say put in 2 cloves. And very small amount of salt if any. I put too much even though didn't add much and it was so salty and I had to add more yogurt.
