Recipe's preparation

    Lets Cook!
  1. 1: Place the Onions and garlic into the thermomix bowl
2: Chop on Speed 4.5 for 7 Seconds
3: Scrape down sides of bowl
4: Add Oil and Cook for 5 minutes ON Varoma temp, Speed 2
5: Add all other ingredients into bowl.
    6: Cook for 30 Minutes, 100 Degrees, Speed 2.
7: Taste! Adjust 🌶️ Chilli powder, 🧂 Salt, Pepper, and Sugar to your specific Taste.
8: Cook for a further 25-40 minutes at 100 degrees, speed 2 to reduce and thicken - The time will vary depending on how juicy your tomatoes were. Adjust time as needed.
9: Pour hot relish into pre-heated sterile jars for preserving and vaccum seal (a quick web search will give you a guide on how to do this if you're not sure). Otherwise, ALLOW TO COOL and store/use as desired.

Tip

NOTE: Please DO NOT put hot liquid into cold glass containers/jars.

TIP: You could easily blitz this into a yummy sauce. You'll still need to simmer and thicken as per recipe, then blitz into desired sauce consistency. I hope you enjoy this one tmrc_emoticons.)

    TM 6
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
