- 1 brown onion, halved
- 60 grams plain flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Oil to shallow fry

- 1. Place grate/cutter into TM bowl with Grating function (GRAY) thick grate potatoes 2. Transfer potatoes into simmering basket and press out any excess liquid. Set aside.
3.Place onion into mixing bowl and chop 4 seconds/speed 5. Scrape down sides of bowl.
4.Add all remaining ingredients, including reserved potatoes, and mix 20 seconds/"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 4.
5.Heat a little oil in a frying pan over a medium high heat. Add a heaped tablespoon of mixture into the oil and gently press down to flatten.
6. Fry on both sides until golden brown.
7. Serve with apple sauce made in your thermomix.
Latkes using grating function.
Tip
Squeeze out as much liquid from potatoes as possible to create a crispy result.
