Ingredients

Batter

  • 2 eggs
  • 3 Bananas, ripe
  • 125 grams Butter
  • 375 grams caster sugar
  • 375 grams Self Raising Flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 100 grams Milk
  • 1/2 tsp bicarb soda

  • 125 grams cream cheese
  • 50 grams Butter
  • 375 grams icing sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Milk

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. Pre heat oven 180c and grease cake tin (I use a square cake tin).

    Place Butter, Sugar, Banana, Eggs and Vanilla Essence into TM bowl and Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" speed 2 for 1 minute if batter hasn't mixed enough Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" speed 3, 5 seconds until well combined.

    Add Milk to TM bowl and Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" speed 1, 5 seconds until well combined.

    Add Selfraising Flour and Bicarb Soda to TM bowl and Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" speed 2, 1 minute if batter hasn't mixed enough Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" speed 3 for 5 seconds and process until just combined.

    Pour mixture into cake tin, shake tin to settle, bake in oven for 1 hr or until cake bounces back in the middle.

     

     

    CREAM CHEESE ICING

    Add Cream Cheese and butter to the TM bowl and Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" speed 6 for 5 seconds or until creamy.

    Add Icing Sugar to TM bowl and Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" on speed 6 for 5 seconds or until combined.

    Add Milk and Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" on speed 6 until mixture is pale and creamy.

Tip

Can finish off with Cream Cheese Icing

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.
