Chocolate Cake / Pudding
Cake
- 125 g Butter
- 45 g cocoa powder
- 250 g water
- 125 g sunflower oil
- 160 g buttermilk, Make your own
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 2 eggs
- 450 g raw sugar
- 350 g flour
- 1 tsp salt
Pouring Icing
- 350 g sugar
- 120 g Butter
- 120 g buttermilk, Make your own
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- 30 g cocoa powder
Buttermilk
- 250 g Milk
- 2 tbsp white vinegar

- Place a jug onto the mixing bowl lid and weigh milk into it. Add the white vinegar into milk. Stir and set aside for 5 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 180°C
- Have a oven dish approximately 30cm by 20cm
- Place butter, cocoa powder, water and oil into mixing bowl and "Gentle stir setting" for 6 minutes at 70°C
- Leave to cool for 5 minutes
- Add the eggs, bicarbonate of soda and buttermilk and mix 10 seconds speed 7
- Add raw sugar, flour and salt and mix 10 seconds speed 5
- Transfer batter into dish and place in the oven for 50 minutes or until knife is clean when inserted.l
- Wash clean and dry bowl
- Place sugar into bowl and mill for 20 seconds on speed 10
- Add butter, buttermilk, vanilla essence and cocoa and "Gentle stir setting" for 6 minutes at 90°C
- Once cake is cooked and slightly cooled pour the icing over and poke holes into the sponge. Let cool completely before serving.
