- 250 grams soy sauce
- 100 grams brown sugar

Combine brown sugar and soy sauce.
Boil the sauce 100C, until thickens resembling honey/maple syrup. If the mixture starts to boil vigorously reduce to simmer 90-98C until the boiling has calm down, return to 100C and continue to boil. You must keep an eye on it while the mixture is cooking to avoid over-boiling. As the mixture cools down, it will further thicken.

Oven temperatures are for conventional; if using fan-forced (convection), reduce the temperature by 20˚C.
We use Australian tablespoons and cups:
1 teaspoon equals 5 ml;
1 tablespoon equals 20 ml;
1 cup equals 250 ml.
All herbs are fresh (unless specified) and cups are lightly packed.
All vegetables are medium size and peeled, unless specified.
All eggs are 55-60 g, unless specified.

Hi Anita,
The times have varied from 5 Minutes to 7 Minutes. Not long at all, not that I would walk away from it.
Do you have an approx. time that it can be expected to take? Just so I know approx. how long I need to watch it for. Thanks
