Ingredients

Bolognese Sauce (with hidden vegies)

  • 1 large carrot, quartered
  • 1 zucchini, quartered
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 500 g mince meat (or follow mincing instructions in EDC)
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable stock concentrate
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano (or fresh)
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil (or fresh)
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 30 g olive oil

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place carrot and zucchini into mixing bowl and 4 sec/speed 4 and set aside, chop for longer if you want them fine enough to fool any child. 

    2.  Place onion and garlic into TM bowl and chop 4 sec/speed 4.  

    3.  Add oil and saute 2 min/100 C/speed 1

    4.  Add remaining ingredients and cook for 20 min/100 C/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" .    

    5.  Alternatively you can saute the mince in a fry pan for 5 minutes and then add to sauce and let the Thermomix do all the stirring.

    6.  Once cooked add to Thermoserver and cook your favourite pasta as per instructions in EDC.

    Love this one.  I add a few more veg & my non veg eaters can't get enough of it.

    This turned out ok. Flavor was pretty good. The mince was store bought and i broke it up a little bit when putting it in the bowl, but once cooked there was still lots of large chunks of mince. I did a quick wizz to break it up but kinda made it go a bit too puree. I might try and break up the mince a bit more next time

    Big Smile made this tonight, was yum. I used celery as had no zucchini, added some mushrooms to the sauté onion-garlic part. I Aldo found it excess liquid though I don't mind, more saucy that way, . Thanks.

    Well loved by my whole family. Next time I will mince rump steak instead of using store bought mince. There was a lot of excess water and Im pretty sure it was from the mince.  Otherwise, really loved it. Very quick and easy to make.
