I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
- Add onion, garlic, carrots, zucchini, capsicum and sweet potato and chop sp5/10seconds
- Add to the dish of the varoma the mince - spreading to the sides to allow a hole for the steam to come through in the middle
- Pour over the mince the diced tomatoes, tomato paste and vegetable stock paste and then push a hole in the middle of the mix to allow the steam through
- Place the varoma base into position and add the varoma lid
- Cook for 20mins/varoma/sp2
- Carefully remove the varoma lid and stir the mince mix. Break it up into the desired texture and push the mix aside to allow the steam through again. Place the lid back in position.
- Cook for another 20mins/Varoma/sp2 (or until the mince is cooked through - add 10 more minutes if required)
- Once the mince is cooked, carefully transfer it into the TM bowl or another bowl if there is not enough room and stir it through with the sauce.
Note: If it is not as thick as you want, add 4tbs cornflour into a cup with a little tap water and stir until desolved. While sauce is still piping hot, stir through the sauce until it thickens (must be still piping hot) - Allow to cool then place in fridge until ready to use.
perfect with nachos, lasagne, cottage pie etc.

Tip
Feel free to add your seasonings, sauces eg. wostershire sauce, bbq or whatever you enjoy in your mince.

TM 6
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
