Ingredients

Fudge base

  • 1 package Marrie or Arrowroot biscuit
  • 100 g walnuts
  • 110 g raw sugar
  • 110 g Butter
  • 20 g cocoa powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 level teaspoon vanilla

Chocolate butter icing

  • 220 g raw sugar
  • 10 g cocoa powder
  • 1 level tablespoon Butter
  • 3 level tablespoon hot water

Recipe's preparation

    Fudge base
  1. Line small baking tray with baking paper or grease.

     

     

  2. Chop walnuts speed 5 for 4 seconds. Put aside. Chop biscuits speed 6, 5 seconds put aside.

     

  3. Melt egg, 110g butter, 110g sugar, 20g cocoa powder, 1tblsp vanilla essence for 2 min on 100 degrees speed 2. 

  4. Add most of the walnuts (keeping a tablespoon for decoration) and add all of the biscuits and stir Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" for 15 seconds on speed 3.

  5. Empty into the tray and flatten with spatula or press down with another piece of baking paper. 

  6. Chocolate butter icing
  7. Grind sugar to icing sugar speed 9 for 15 seconds.

  8. Add all other ingredients and stir speed 3 for 15 seconds.

  9. Spread over base with spatula. Run fork over the surface for texture and sprinkle with left over walnuts. refrigerate until set.

    Enjoyed this recipe.  Had a bit of trouble with icing as it stayed runny.  Added more icing sugar to thicken it.

    Just made it with a mix of nuts as short of walnuts and is still delicious with almonds and cashews making up the nut quantity!
