I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180c, line a tray with baking paper or use the Thermomix baking mat.

Step 1. Put butterfly in bowl and add the cream cheese and butter, sp 4 for 2 min, scrape down the bowl (will look runny)

Step 2. Add caster sugar, sp4 for 2 min (light a fluffy looking), scrap down the bowl

Step 3. sp3 add eggs and vanilla

    Step 4.
in a separate bowl mix together the flour, baking powder and salt

    Step 5.
sp 1 gradually add the dry ingredients (say over 30 to 45 sec), you can speed it up for a short time (5-10sec) after all flour added but don't over beat. It will be sticky, the texture will be between cake batter and biscuit dough.

    Step 6.
Put heap teaspoons on tray bake between 8 to 10 minutes. They will be pale looking, slightly brown on the bottom. Don't over bake as they will be dry and crumbly (but still taste good, if they over cook put jam inbetween after cooling)
  2. Texture of mixture before baking
  3. Slightltly brown on bottom

Tip

Options:
Dust with icing sugar once cooled

or

Dip the bottom half or drizzle with melted chocolate

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
